Visit San Saba, the Pecan Capital of the World
Rivers, pecan orchards, wildflowers, and small-town Texas hospitality, right in the heart of the Hill Country.
Welcome to San Saba County
Tucked into the beautiful Texas Hill Country, San Saba County is bordered by the Colorado River and named for the San Saba River that runs through it. Spanish explorers came through in 1732, settlers followed in 1839, and the county was founded in 1856.
Today, pecan orchards line the countryside, and pecan trees shade the yards of homes all over town. San Saba pecans ship to businesses and families around the world, which is how we earned the title Pecan Capital of the World.
From thriving downtown shops to historic sites and breathtaking wildlife and wildflowers, there’s something here for everyone. Come see for yourself.
